MARTINSTOWN: Julia’s House benefits from cider and music festival

By Anita Harries

The folk at Stevens Farm in Martinstown are not known for sitting back and watching the world go by.

Proudly announcing that their third Charity Beer and Cider Festival and their first ever venture into the field of the Charity Classic Car Vehicle Rally raised the amazing sum of £2,000 for their chosen organisation, Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, a cheque for this amount was handed over to Julia’s House representative Sue Miles.

Organisers thanked all the volunteers who had come forward to make the event such a success, along with the many sponsors and those who provided musical entertainment throughout the whole weekend - Steel and Stone, K2, Shelby’s Elbow, and Vinyl Monkeys.

And a special thank you went to the owners of the classic vehicles without whom the event would not have been possible.

Christopher Barnes, organiser of the Stevens Farms Charity Beer and Cider Festival, said: “This was our third annual festival, and with more than 500 people attending we were very happy to have raised £2,000 for Julia’s House.

“Next year’s festival is already in the planning stages, and will hopefully take place on 6th - 8th July. If you would like to help with sponsorship, volunteering, or wish to enter your classic car, please give me a ring on 01305 889216 or contact [email protected].”
